Collier housing project will help homeless seniors and veterans living in cars and tents

The Community Foundation of Collier County said it has about 70 identified seniors who are living in cars and 50-70 identified veterans sleeping in tents in the woods.

It said the lack of affordable housing plays a big role in this. An affordable housing project that will break ground at the end of the year will help address the problem.
